✰ welcome, welcome.

you're new here, aren't you? you have that look about you. like the proverbial deer in the headlights - but don't worry, you'll get used to it soon enough.
after all, you might just be here for a while. why not make the most of it?
the room you've woken up in - it's yours. pretty nice, isn't it? we want everyone to enjoy their stay here, and that means providing decent amenities. the beds are soft, the roofs don't leak, and best of all? it's free of charge.
it's all on us. you're welcome.
feel free to roam about - it's not like you're a prisoner, or anything. and there really is a lot to see here, so go on ahead, knock yourself out. have fun. explore.
but i wouldn't go too far, if i were you.
does that sound ominous?
ah, well. like i said. you'll get used to it soon enough.
.welcome to siaion.

[ who … ?
somehow, he isn't expecting to hear her voice. then again, he would have been surprised to hear any familiar voice in this place, but he supposes that it kind of goes without saying.
yes, linca, this is a city. as far as he knows – he's still trying to get used to not being in colseit. ( granted, he hasn't been out of his new "home" for very long, so there hasn't been a lot of time to acclimate himself to his new surroundings, but … okay. again. it goes without saying and he isn't making any other arguments right now, thank you very much. )
he picks his head up when he hears his name, squinting across the street as cars whiz by. ] Linca? Whoa, what are you –
[ asdlkhg DON'T WALK RIGHT OUT INTO THE STREET WOMAN ARE YOU NUTS??
oh.
right of way.
you both have a lot to get used to, don't you?
he waits until she crosses to his side, trying to hide the fact that he'd been worried for her safety while crossing by looking grateful for having found another familiar face. ( because he's already found escha at this point, and stowed her safely away for the time being. huzzah, time shenanigans! ) ]
You're here! How are you here?

She's relieved to see him, too, and she's smiling a little when she's finally by his side. His question concerns her, though, and she frowns all over again, uncertain.]
I don't know. I wasn't aware that we were going to be relocated, and when I woke up this morning, I was here. I've been looking for Marion, but I haven't found her yet.
[She puts one hand over her heart - reflex, still, after all these years by her side.]
It's not like her to forget to brief all of us. I'm a little worried.

please don't fight the cars, linca. they haven't done anything to you yet. ( keyword: yet. shall we wait until she decides to try to cross without the leeway of a stoplight in her favor? is that a thing that needs to be done? )
anyway!
he's just as confused as she is, and when she's finally at his side, he takes a small amount of comfort in knowing that at least they can keep an eye on one another, now. ( and anyone else they might find, here. surely if they've been relocated, the others have been, too, and all they need to do is find them. right? hopeless optimism … ? )
he nods, just slightly, sparing a brief look into the distance, a small contemplation of what might be lying in wait for them out there … ] I have to admit, I'm a little surprised myself, but … maybe it's a training exercise? [ that's a thing you do, isn't it? he doesn't know. ]
She has to be around here somewhere. All we have to do is find her.

She will not fight the cars unless they give her a reason to! (Which means, yes, if she tries to jaywalk, a vehicle or two might be scrap metal before long djafklsa)
Linca is thinking much of the same. If Awin and she are both here, then surely the others are too, right? Also, she's seen Awin in combat. She trusts him - they make a good team. Whenever they do find the others, she is confident that they can keep them safe. Together.]
A training exercise? Hmmm. A likely explanation. However, it still doesn't explain the lack of notice...
Mm. Let's find Marion, and everyone else while we're at it.

( linca honey you know how to keep that from happening, right? don't jaywalk. just don't do it. figure out how traffic lights work and you're sure to find that you don't need to resort to needless violence against inanimate objects.
but then again, who are we kidding here. )
awin looks around him again, still trying to figure their situation out. he doesn't like not being in the know, even if he's frequently finding himself out of the loop back in colseit – why doesn't everyone include him in everything! gosh! – it doesn't keep him from wanting to find everything out. ]
Right. They have to be here … [ he's hopeful, at the very least. ]

(she has to learn what jaywalking is first, in order to not do it. who wants to volunteer to teach her traffic laws?)
Linca doesn't like being uninformed, either. This is very troublesome, extremely suspicious and incredibly worrying. How is she supposed to protect and defend if she doesn't know where everyone is that she wants so badly to protect and defend...?
She only has so many friends. She has to keep them safe.
She hasn't even reached a quarter of her goal of 100 yet. But! Now they have a mission - to find everyone! She thinks she can manage that...]
Right. I haven't seen anyone else so far, so we can rule out that direction. [She points down the street - where she's just arrived from.] If we knew the area, I would suggest splitting up, but... In this case, I think it may be best to stay together. What do you think?
